Hi,
Sorry, this is not a real estate related comment. This is for Jessica.

This is a great blog. We aim to adopt in five years time when we move back to Australia (currently working in Middle East). Do you have an estimate of the cost of adoption in Uganda? We want to make it happen so need to plan well ahead and your help would be greatly appreciated. We have travelled to Uganda (and have also survived the rapids) and it is hard not to fall in love with the place and its people. We were travelling through a town and were kindly invited to a wedding which overwhelmed us greatly. There is so much love and happiness in a country with a lot of reasons to feel otherwise. Why our wealthy "western" countries are filled with negative people I will never understand.
Any further information you can pass on like contact details for both of the orphanages you visited would be fantastic. Also I would like to understand more about the volunteering in Watoto. Were you able to arrange volunteering positions for you and your husband before travelling to Uganda or did you stumble across it while you were there? I would love to copy what you have done! My email is nickcarly@gmail.com Thank you Jessica, Carly.

Jessica - I love this - it totally checked my micromanaging microstress about doing the right thing for my kiddos on a daily basis - you're totally right - I need to stand back and look at the big picture too - Z & Ryker are going to be just fine. :) And hopefully I can chill out a bit too. Next time we have a chat in the hot tub we should talk about tequila and not discipline. :)
